what's new in G-town--minibreak!

We just got back from our weekend at Lopez Island (map). Paul Allen's "compound" is just to the south and visible from the cabin. Here's the view from the back of the cabin. We had lovely sunny days.

Garrison rode on a ferry for the first time. On the way back we went up on the deck. He wasn't incredibly impressed. He ate a lot. He had some hard boiled egg yolk, some chilli (that's how we spell it in Springfield.)

And some hummus out by the fire. He's wearing a new hat I made him, because it turns out wool is not good for his skin (he's sensitive).

We had a lovely weekend. And, Garrison slept in Adonis & Rali's cabin on Valentine's day (they asked!)

Looks like a beautiful place. Glad you guys had a great time. That was soooo nice of your friends to let G sleep in their room. You have some wonderful friends!!

I swear, they actually really wanted him to sleep in their cabin! Kind of a baby boot camp. But, they are wonderful friends.

Lopez is amazingly beautiful. The cabins are right on the water, and Adonis can use them pretty much whenever he wants. I think it's really cool to take the ferry. It still amazes me that they can carry so much weight.

Does he know someone? How does he get to use them? Must be nice!!

BTW, did you get your Xmas present? I mailed it two Fridays ago. Hopefully you like them. I ended up finding the confirmation number from HSN so the DVD player fiasco worked out. Guess it was good that they ended up not sending you the player since your mom already bought you one!!

I agree...this looks so beautiful. What fun! Did you sleep soundly all through the night, or fitfully because you kept thinking you heard G even if he wasn't there?!?!
